[UPDATE  january 27 2012]

first off apologies on no updates, and no update as to why…

january was a bit of a crazy month, moved studios after 6 years in the same spot, then to that during the move – what i thought was a cold, turned into a very unpleasant throat infection that lasted almost two weeks. luckily a visit to the ER at one point gave me a good dose of antibiotics and perkasets for the pain. the infection put me out of commission for over a week though try as hard as i might to work, it was an uphill battle. this in turn created a domino effect on my workload – so now i’m playing catch up.

hence the lack of kukuburi.

there’s one sitting here in the wings 80% done – so once i get back on top of my schedule in the coming weeks, kukuburi will be the first things i set back in motion as soon as my clients are appeased and happy.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

arriving a bit late here due recuperating from a nasty flu and well, the studio i share is moving. i really should have coordinated the move and my return a bit better… but it kinda happened after i made the announcement. meh, whadda gonna do.

so, move permitting, more kukuburi thursday!

other announcements… for those who may be curious;

next week, the 18th, sees the full release of TALE OF SAND, the book that i worked on over the past summer!

the next project to pleasurably to eat up my life will be an adaptation of JOHN CARTER: THE GODS OF MARS for marvel comics with writer sam humphries!

quite a pickle indeed, to quote nicole from last week’s confabulations!

heh, looks like i lightly ruffled a few feathers last week when i mentioned people tend to ignore the web on the weeks, hence to postpone the update to monday. trust me, i’m one to indulge the web on the weekends, but from a statistical pov, kukuburi’s readerships drops severely on the weekends. at the end of the day – the post gets up regardless :P

i hope to have two more up this week, but the week is getting a little cramped as i have to wrap up a print for the Emerald City Comic Con that will be appearing in their ‘Monsters & Dames’ book for the 2012 show. i’ve chosen to do one involving kukuburi – so for all those attending ECCC next year – i hope you’ll like it…

i am going to try to have another page up tomorrow, but since most people ignore the web on the weekend, i might aim for monday…

…uhm, hello, sorry for the minor disappearing act :)

so, i’ve been doing reno’s on my new home, and last week, around thursday morn when i was working on last weeks kukuburi… a series of pipes burst in my home creating a miniature waterfall. pipes that had been corroding unbeknownst to me, or the previous owners for that matter, as they were hidden from view. so fixing this little situation took over my life till about last night around 11pm. i haven’t even been near a computer (as i don’t have internet at home) to send out a courteous update.

hopefully all is fixed – i’ll know for sure tonight when i turn the boiler heating back on in the house – that was one of the pipes, the other was the main hot water line. i’ve shared some photos below if you’re curious. ah, good times!

that said today’s update is what i had planned for last thursday, and the updates originally scheduled for this week i am going to update on friday and saturday… then next week, fingers crossed, pipes sealed, and not explosions or waterfalls later, next week’s updates will continue as normal.
