I live in Sudbury and my old landlord just slapped me with a $7000 lawsuit. Before we were forced to move out (they were tearing down the building and changing it to a commercial area) we had to take him to court over money that he owed us, so a week or two ago we get the cheques, but as soon as they're handed to us we're slapped with papers stating we did $7000 of damage to the building. We never did any damages and this is the building that they're tearing down! So I understand how these landlord things can be a huge pain. I'm just hoping it goes well for you and hoping it doesn't get you too down. Best wishes from up north and I know that soon enough this will all be behind you.
