    It was worth the wait.

I like how you made Nadia bug-like in the first frame. It took a minute to realize that it was the top of her head and goggles we were seeing and not a lady bug.

  2. kristina says:

oooh, CRAP! Where’s this battle whale when she needs them!?

I wonder….does anyone think we will be seeing any other humans in this world!? The question just popped into my head, hadn’t thought about it before.

I don’t think I’ve said this in the past, but I really like Nadia’s belt. I draw studded belts on all my characters, but they don’t look as good as when you draw her belt.

  3. Gruntbuggle says:

Absolutely fabulous Ramón, bein hecho! Really love the way you drew her in panel 2.

  4. So oooky – the light switch plate coming out of place, showing either the ooze in the wall or something making its way through…or something.

Grab your cute purple socks and go, girl!

I hope her chapeau – when it appears – matches those socks! Can’t wait for all the little details and explanations to come. Along with, of course, the cliff hangers and the mindf*s, and the adorable surprises done with stellar perspective and gorgeous colors.

  5. Om nomnomnomnomnomnom WALL!!

  6. Odo says:

Now would be a really good time for Reggie to come Zub zub zubbing along.

Fantastic shots, both the top view in sixty|three and the other PoVs in this one. Of course the mystery is how she went from falling to her death to waking in her room on the bottom of the bottom of the world. My suspicion is that “She” is involved. Now I have to wait another week. *sigh*

  7. Steve B says:

    This is SWEET!

  8. Tuccy says:

Great. As ever. I’m positively ont he edge of my seat, expecting how will it all evolve and resolve.

  9. Jane says:

    HOLY CRAP!!!!!!

o_O… that’s really all I have to say. Amazing.

  10. Ramón says:

thanks for the kind words everyone, they feel especially good this time round as these pages, due to much on my mind and schedule, didn’t really come up to snuff from my perspective. so it’s nice to see that on the most part everyone has enjoyed the update :)

  11. Sam says:

if only they hadn’t outlawed DDT :(

but if she made the room she can make other things as she needs them she just need to fully realize that concept and then she could kick some bony butt
Up next the rescue party’s arrival ….I hope.

  12. Matt says:

We only outlawed the “use” of DDT in the USA, Sam. Unfortunately we still produce it and sell it to other countires.

Excellent work ramon. when i make the money i shall have to give you some.

  13. Esn says:

Hey Ramon, I came over here from The Abominable Charles Christopher. This is a really interesting and fun series, though not my personal favourite on this website. ;)

There are some things that I absolutely love about it (the whole imaginative world and all of its characters) and some things that I’m not completely sold on yet (Nadia’s character and the saturated colour scheme). Though the good points are outweighing the bad points by a fair margin right now, and I see some signs of hope that Nadia will get more interesting… :)

So I shall definitely subscribe to the RSS feed!

  14. Esn says:

P.S. Well, if you want us to look for flaws, I guess I could point out the big white ball in her mouth that Nadia has in the second panel. ;)

But really, I’m amazed that you’ve been updating these at the rate you have.

  15. Jennifer says:

Awesome! I like the way she looks more cartoon-y in the first page and the last frame on this page.

  16. Senksis says:

It’s like a mixture of the King Kong pit and the Maxx… and it makes me want more! ;o)

  17. Rebecca Dawson says:

I’m going to find you. I’m going to find you and hurt you. You’re going to hurt bad. Real bad. I’m going to chain you down and make you hurry this along. I can’t take much more of this.

  18. Daniel says:

I just want to say that your Wildcat issue was pretty damn good. It was a surprisingly poignant look at the old boxer’s career. I loved how you and McCaig orchestrated the flashbacks, making them pop but not overly flashy like a lot of artists and colorists working today. Thanks!

  19. Jarod says:

Hey, I just wanted to say that this is currently one of my favorite webcomics out there. Also, I’ve been reading JSA Classified, and every other JSA series, for a while now and I gotta say you make Wildcat and Alan Scott look better than ever. I can’t remember the last time they grabbed my attention so well. Normally, when there’s a Wildcat story I expect a thick guy running around in a silly mask, he never really looks cool. I’ll be reading closely, keep it up.

  20. Swamp says:

Now seems like a good time for her to experiment with that “wishing power”. It worked with the waking up in her bed…

  21. ursie says:

    FASTER, RAMON, FASTER.

    oh ramon..
    don’t stop.

  22. Ramón says:

rebecca, i am a little frightened.

    ursie, i feel a little dirty now…

  23. Ramón says:

jarod, a big thanks for the kudos on wildcat. i’m having a lot of fun working on it – so it’s nice to hear people are enjoying it!

  24. Krystal says:

    Ramon,
First, did NOT see this coming. When she wakes up in her bed, I mean, and it turns out to be in the middle of some huge bugs.

Which brings me to my second point, nice job on the bugs! They look creepy and gooey… especially whatever that is sliding through her light switch plate. Nice detail!

Also, your timing was great in these last two pages. Keep this up! Great story line :-)

    And Rebecca,
If he’s chained down, he won’t be able to continue!

  25. Lee Cherolis says:

hey Ramon, I like the changes to the navigation. It’s a lot clearer now with the first comic displaying on the main page. I understood it before just fine, but I imagine new readers will appreciate the clarification.

  26. kristina says:

is it just me though, with the new changes to the navigation buttons, we loose part of the title picture! Is it just me and my computer, cuz right now I see only the top of th purple guys head, the rest of his body is cut off by the navigation bar………..

  27. Ramón says:

glad you like the changes. they’re small, but i think effective – i’ll go into them in a little more detail come tomorrow’s update.

krisitina, you need to empty your browser’s cache as it’s storing the old image in your browsers memory :)

  28. kristina says:

Wow, it worked! Thanks Ramon! I’m not that big of a computer geek yet.

  29. sunshinegetsmehigh says:

ESN, are you refering to Nadia’s lip ring?

  30. Esn says:

    sunshinegetsmehigh:

Well, no, just that she has a big white spot where there would usually be teeth. I think it looks rather odd.

  31. Odo says:

Sunshine, I think he was referring to the whiteness in Nadia’s mouth which is the “symbol for fully exposed grin”. I think he was being sarcastic and “funny” as well. Of course I suspect that of your comment as well, so that may just be me.

All of the comments on this will be over soon, just as soon as the ghreat Ghod Ramon gifts us with another two pages… :^)

*bows in the general direction of Ramon*

    *giggles insanely and runs away*

  32. nashoba says:

Gross! Has anyone noticed the purple goo oozing through the light switch plate?

  33. CoyoteLovely says:

    I think I’d wish for a Roof….

  34. Chameleon says:

ewwwww… bugs…. really really BIG bugs *shiver* ick

;) I love this comic and can’t wait to see how she gets out of this one

  35. Joe says:

    Hey guys,

Ramon, nice work so far. I hope you don’t object, I’ve been taking some of my favourite frames/comics and turning them into wallpapers for my own amusement. If you’re happy, I was thinking about putting them out for everyone who appreciates your work. I’d appreciate it if you got in touch with me. My email address is attatched with this post.

    Cheers

    Joe

  36. ..::beep::.. says:

I’m with Karl, that was a pretty sweet twist.

  37. Eddie says:

Hey, just wanted to point out that on the front page it says “The story your about to read…” when it should say “the story you’re about to read…” It’s the second sentence of the intro.

Love this comic and BNS, btw. The art and colors are spectacular! I can’t wait to see what happens next.

  38. Ramón says:

    thanks eddie!

  39. shagbark says:

Great art – words unnecessary in these 3 panels.

  40. Ramón says:

y’know the dialogue has always bothered me in this sequence as nadia is talking to herself… you may have a good point here shagbark. time to look at it in a different perspective when i collect the story…

  41. Cathy says:

I thought for a moment that there was a little blue birdy eye in the top corner of frame 3…
