I just love how imaginative this strip is. All of the characters are beautifully done Ramon. Where do you get your ideas?

  2. Wolvan says:

Morvo has replaced Krug (from a different web-comic – VG Cats) as my favourite monsterish character! He has horns, he’s big and green, is friends with a cool British Chameleon, and his chapeau is a toque!

Also, with the way you did his speech-bubble I immediately got an idea into my head as to how he sounds.

Is there any way I could bribe some stand-alone art from you Ramon? Maybe some design sketch’s posted on Calavera Studio?

ps. Everything else is awesome too… but I just felt an urgent need to let you know how awesomely snuggable Morvo is! :)

  3. Dune Walker says:

Krug is just classic though. Scott did a great job making a slightly psychotic and violent, and yet also incredibly strange and silly character with him. My main beef is that VGCats is such lowbrow humor. Not on the scale of Hate Song or anything, but over the years it feels like it’s been plowing on out of habit more than anything and the quality has slipped.

That said, Morvo is like something out of a Jim Henson film, and that is all kinds of right. Hells, I could totally see this entire thing as a Henson film! Pity we lost the man so early in his life…

I have to say, I love Him. If I’m ever an animated skeleton, I want to be just like Him. He’s fantastic. Very wonderful bad guy.

  5. Hébert says:

The audience can really connect with Nadia now. Good work Ramon.

  6. Fuel says:

I’ve missed the last few weeks of updates and I must say I’ve been happy to catch up. This story gets better and better, I’ve been trying to formulate in my mind where it could be headed.

Since people are mentioning Morvo I’ve got to say that I think he looks like Rob. Perhaps it’s because he’s short and round and has a huge grin. I just know that when I first looked at him I immediately thought of Rob.

  7. Kristina says:

hmmm, I love his word bubbles! I like that they are black and I love the font! I like how you change that for every character. Gives them their own voice, it’s like I can “hear” the difference from character to character! Love it Ramon! Love it.

  8. Ruthie says:

I was curious to see what this webcomic was going to be like when I first read about it on butternutsquash.net. Can’t believe I let it sit as a bookmark for so long, but am elated that I had 28 wondrous pages to look through! This has to be one of the most beautifully drawn and imaginative works of art I have seen in ages ^_^. Hope Ramon doesn’t mind that I made fourteen the background for my laptop. So, much props?

  9. Dewi Morgan says:

Iiit’s TUESDAY! Happiest comicday of the week :D

  10. Ramón says:

it’s gonna be a late update today peeps, i got slammed with hallowe’en, a flu, and thereby a domino effect…

  11. Chip says:

    w…

    whooaaaaa…

When can I buy this exquisite piece of graphic storytelling?

Work like yours simply doubles my love of this storytelling medium.

    Thank you!

  12. Kari says:

I think HE looks like a character from Saturday Night Fever.

    Awesome… ^_^

  13. CyCo says:

Oh yeah, Saturday Night Fever. You’re totally right Kari!

Good Bad Guy, Perez. (the skeleton dude, not you!!).

  14. 'Parrot' says:

    I happen to love ‘Him’.
    He’s just… so… LOVEABLY EVIL!
This comic is so absurd and fun in its absurd-ness.
I dub him Skinny Bones. (listening to that right now, ironically)

He’s just so smooth – and trying to keep to the ‘evil game master’ thing. Hehe.
And Nadia’s probably convinced this is some sort of drug-induced dream…

  15. SynDark says:

I’d like to know when and where I can buy a hard copy of this story. Have you printed a TPB yet? Or are you just selling pages? A web comic called PX! (really awesome btw) had two TPB out now. I met the creators at a comic con in Spokane, WA. I read the first chapter online but since I prefer to hold my comic while reading I went ahead and bought the TPBs at the show and had them signed.

Do you do this kinda thing too? And if so, when can I get my copy of Kukuburi?

  16. SynDark says:

Where can I get a TPB?
