a small change, i decided to change mr. bojangles speech font. it’s not quite as legible as the original font i was using, but i feel it better conveys his lizard like voice…

and for those who missed the note last week:

if any of you fine folks reside on or will be near the east coast, particularily halifax, on sunday september 23rd please swing by the STRANGE ADVENTURES booth at this years WORD ON THE STREET festival and say hello! i’ll be doing sketches and will have a bit of swag on hand if any one cares to throw a dime my way!

I like it. Nadia. [That was my name in Spanish class in highschool.] Poor giraffe. I like the new font. :)

so close! (I was guessing nadine) :)

Holy crap. That’s kind of disturbing and beautiful at the same time. I totally wasn’t expecting a smothered giraffe. Those things are like hundreds of individual liquid, inky black nightmares.

Strains of little Nemo – I’ve loved your art on Butternutsquash, it’s nice to see your talent run amok!

  5. Casey says:

It’s like a Miyazaki film (you know, like Spirited Away or Princess Mononoke). I’m enjoying this so far.

What a great set up! I’ve been hankering after a pet chameleon for some time and this strip is just about tipping me over the edge… And after I’ve got one I’ll start looking for a breeding pair of giant bendy necked purple giraffes…

  7. Kris says:

I would have thought less Miyazaki and more weird-fucked Wizard of Oz. Maybe Spirited Away, but Mononoke Hime seemed really gritty, where this is much more high-flying-zip-bang fun.

  8. David says:

Reminds me of Mario Sunshine! (Very cool!)

  9. Reverend_Jim says:

The way things are going at this point it reminds me of that movie Little Nemo. Really trippy, funky slumberland type vibe. And the art is gorgeous.

Oh nu not the purple giraffe!
