About

Nadia’s daily routine as a delivery girl in the bustling Big City is disrupted one day when she passes through what seems like an ordinary white picket gate and into the Inbetween. Kukuburi follows her adventures as Nadia stumbles through this new world and tries to find her place within it. Populated by strange denizens from a child’s imagination there is excitement and danger lurking around every corner.
As the story unfolds we will learn Nadia’s purpose in this strange land, as well as the why and where this strange place exists. Follow the continuing adventure that is Kukuburi with two new pages every week, updated every Tuesday, as part of the online comics collective Transmission X.
If you are a new reader a good place to start is, as always, at the beginning…
Ramón has been working as a cartoonist for a little over a decade. He loves his job and would never trade it in for a real one. His catalogue of work is as diverse as the styles he employs. Ramón’s repertoire includes Comic Books, Manga, Editorial Illustration, Children’s Books, numerous Role-Playing Games, Collectible Card Games, Character Design, Magazines and whatever else may happen to cross his path that may intrigue him!
Though the stuff that turns Ramón’s proverbial crank are his own little creations. The ideas and stories that constantly percolate in his subconsciousness. Aside from Kukuburi, Ramón’s other longtime webcomics venture is the peculiar somewhat autobiographical Butternutsquash which he co-authors with his long time friend Rob Coughler.
In his non-existent spare time Ramón is also researching and writing a historical-fiction tale of crime-noir set in the post-war Toronto of the late 1940s which he hopes to illustrate as an original graphic novel in 2009.
